A. Best: Waterbed Conditioner from a store that specializes in waterbeds (but you can't find one). Try an online auction site. OK: algaecide from a swimming pool supply company, but their smallest bottle might be a lifetime supply (you don't need much). CAUTION - algaecide can be dangerous. do not let kids have access to it. do not let kids have access to it. do not let kids have access to it. do not let kids have access to it. Not so good: household bleach. For one thing, if you spill any while filling, you'll BLEACH the color out of anything it touches; and when you drain the bed, the waste water (with the bleach) may damage something.
